Yesterday we heard Bill HB2187 Massage Therapist Licensure Act. The hearings serve a very important purpose. This bill was a case where I thought I already knew how I would vote. I had read the bill and thought I understood all the issues. Then we have the hearing and hear from those who are for the bill and those who are against the bill. After the hearing I walked away with a lot of information that may have changed my mind. I am not telling you how I will vote. But I am telling you that having an open mind and listening to the testimony can clear your mind or even change your mind. We will be working this bill next week. When we work the bill, that is the time we debate its merits and ultimately vote to approve the bill or kill the bill. We will see which way it will go. Happy Thursday from your Capitol.
