Thursday in Children & Seniors committee we heard testimony on HB 2450. We heard testimony from those who feel there children have been taken away by the state wrongly and want to change the law so it reads "least detrimental alternative" replacing the words "in the best interest if the child". We then heard from Judges and Lawyers testifying that the change in the words would lower the standard and not be in the best interest of the child. This was an emotionally charged hearing. Stay tuned in for a decision on this one. Happy Friday from your Capitol.
