I am amazed at the people who want to destroy the Second Amendment of our Constitution. Yesterday, US Senators stood up and protected the Second Amendment and protected our country. The United States is like no other country on the face of this earth. We are protected by our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Those who want to change it, if successful, will be the undoing of our nation. More states need to do exactly what the Kansas Legislature did this year and that is pass the Second Amendment Protection Act. Isn't it interesting that Chicago, one of the cities with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation has some of the worst crime rates. And why not, in Chicago it is like open season on sitting ducks. Criminals still have guns, but the law abiding citizen has no way to protect themselves. Remember in politics the issue is never the issue. It is not about doing away with guns, it is about controlling the citizens of the US. As, long as we have guns we can protect ourselves from a tyrannous government. Once our guns are gone it is all over. So, it is up to us, all of us to continue to pressure our Senators and Congressman to never allow our right to keep and bear arms to be infringed. Don't stop here, keep sending emails to your Senators and Congressman. They do pay attention to the emails. You as a constituent can hold their feet to the fire and keep them from making changes to our Second Amendment rights. Happy Thursday from home in Wichita.
