Thursday was a catch up day. I stayed in Topeka as there was already 6 inches of snow in Wichita. I did not want to fight the snow all the way home. We got a lot of snow in Topeka as well. I think there is somewhere around 11 inches of snow here. It is still snowing this morning at 4am as I am writing my blog. Even though the legislature is not meeting today I will be in my office working. This place is going to turn into a pressure cooker as the pace increases. This coming week we will see the end of committee work and will head into all day floor sessions. All of these bills that have been coming out of committee will now be heard in Committee of the Whole and as debate lengthens on each bill so too will the length of our days in session.
