I am back home for the weekend after our first week of the new legislative session. Life is all about our relationships with people. Most people know that I absolutely love people. I love developing relationships and making new ones. Most Saturday mornings there are 4 of my friends that I meet for breakfast. This morning was no different and of course our conversation was about the first week of the legislative session. We talked about a lot of different issues that will be dealt with this year. A gentleman at the table next to us overheard most of our conversations and one of my friends had been acquainted with him over the years. As this gentleman got ready to leave he stopped at our table and added his comments to some of the subjects we had been talking about. I found out he was a democrat and disagreed with some of my thoughts and agreed with others. But, I found him to be a very engaging person to talk with. We struck up a conversation that continued to the parking lot as we all parted company. He will be following me on face book and I am adding him to my newsletter list. Isn't it interesting the people we can have the opportunity to interact with if we just allow ourselves the time to stop and spend time with people. I am truly blessed to meet him.
