Having your mother in law live with you, certainly changes the family dynamics and presents problems most people never experience. You have to have a thick skin and learn to just keep your mouth shut. Otherwise, it would be even worse than what it is. I think God has a plan for me and my family. We are learning to deal with the bad parts of old age. It has now been five years since she moved in and we as a family (Diane, me and the kids) have grown closer through this experience. I will say this is not for the faint at heart. God gives us strength. We smile and accept those things we cannot change.
