On Thursday Kansas Senators Moran and Roberts voted against the immigration bill. I commend them for their votes. This bill gave no front end guarantee of a fence or increased border personnel for the California, Texas border until 2021. The bill will triple the number of immigrants granted lawful permanent residency. This bill is no better than the 1986 immigration bill. How many people do you think will honestly step forward and say I am an illegal immigrant, I want to pay all of my back taxes, I will pay the fine and then get in the back of the immigration line and wait for a chance to become a US citizen in ten years maybe. We will still have millions of undocumented immigrants. So this bill solves nothing. Until we secure our boarders we are just spitting in the wind.
