Monday was for the most part a non event day. We met in session at 10am for 30 minutes and then adjourned until 2pm today. We are still waiting for the leadership to work out the tax bill. I must say, I for one am getting a little impatient with this process. I understand that the two sides have to stand up for what they believe is best for the state. However, I have work to do at home in my business and this is a waste of time being here and doing nothing. My largest client will be having their annual enrollment on May 22nd, 23rd and 24th. I will be there for that enrollment. So, the house and senate need to come together quickly so we can get this tax bill done.

Yesterday evening I attended the Pro-Life appreciation event at Cedar Crest. I had a chance to talk with the Governor after the event was over. I told him that I hoped that the parties negotiating the tax plan would make some progress. He said progress was being made, it just takes time. I told him I understand his position on the tax plan but I would be supporting our leadership in the Tax bill. Happy Tuesday from Topeka.
