Yesterday was tax day. Yes, I had to write a check to the feds and the state. There is just something about writing that check to the government that just irks me. I would imagine most everyone feels that way. So, why is it that we want to continue the spending binge. We don't like taxes, we don't like most of the things that government does and yet we want them to do more. It just does not make sense. I had a constituent that came to my door at home on Sunday afternoon. The question was, are you in favor of expanding Medicaid. This question I have struggled with throughout the legislative session and have changed my mind several times. My question to the constituent was, "if we expand do you suppose that we can stop it in the future"? The answer was no. So, do you think we should expand medicaid? Silence.
