Yesterday I attended the Pachyderm Club lunch with my wife Diane. I think she went along just to make sure I did not eat too much. She protects me from myself. Or maybe she is just my conscience. Anyway, we went to hear Senate President Susan Wagle give an overview of the Kansas Legislative session. It was a packed house, so you can say Susan draws a pretty good crowd. Senator Ty Masterson and Representative Mark Hutton were also in attendance. She did a great job and answered a lot of questions. Afterwards I had the opportunity to talk with Beverly Kasl Gossage, who is running for insurance commissioner. In addition I had a chance to talk with Sedgwick County Commissioner Karl Peterjohn for a little bit and some others. All in all it was a nice meeting. Happy Saturday from home in Wichita.
