Today I was thinking about our situation in America. We can blame Obama and the Democrats or they can blame us Republicans. But I believe we can only blame ourselves. I have 22,798 people that live in my district. Only about 250 or so bother to be engaged in the process and let me know how they feel on the issues we are working on. So, if you are not engaged in the process and letting your elected officials know your opinions then lets start change where it really matters and that is with each of us being fully engaged in the process. On April 2nd we had our Wichita City Council and USD 259 election. We had 6% of the registered voters show up at the polls and vote. These are the most important elections as the City Council and school board members affect your life more than anyone else. So, if we really want change we must become fully engaged in the political process and we must become informed voters and vote at every election. Happy Saturday from home in Wichita.
