Most of you know that I helped with the Purple Heart Trout Tournament at Branson, MO. this last weekend. Here are the pictures of the winner Gary Cooper who received a winning check in the amount of $500 and my fishing buddy Mike Humm with his dad's purple heart from World War II. Mike and I have been fishing together on Lake Taneycomo for 7 years. My dad was my fishing buddy. After dad died I met Mike at and his wife Deb at a campground in Branson. We have been friends and fishing buddies ever since. Mike volunteered his boat for the tournament and I helped with netting fish and baiting the hooks for the veterans. Gary Cooper the winner was on our boat. He really loves to fish. It was a great time. Here is a link to the article written by our friend the The Ole Seagull, Gary Gorman. The pictures came from Gary's article.
