Monday was a slow start to a busy week. We had no bills to debate in Committee of the Whole yesterday so the house session did not last very long. However, we did have a good Pension and Benefits committee meeting yesterday. We heard about bonding to help with the unfunded liability in KPERS and we are starting to look seriously at plan design. In addition we will be having a public informational meeting on working after retirement on May 8th. In our Health committee meeting we heard testimony about the rural health initiative. Happy Tuesday from Topeka.
