Tuesday was a good day at the Capitol. We heard testimony on two cosmetology bills in the Health Committee. We heard testimony in the Children and Seniors Committee on Elder abuse and Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation from representatives of the Attorney Generals Office. Elder abuse is so prevalent that they cannot keep up with it. That is truly a sad situation in our state. Then we ended the day attending the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Dinner at the Expo Center. It was a nice dinner and speakers. The MC was the Dean of the School of Business at KU. She is a pretty dynamic person and has a lot of energy. The Key Note Speaker was Cal Thomas.
