Thursday was an informative day in the Health Committee. We had 3 presenters on the subject of Stem Cell Therapy. It was a long presentation but was very informative. They can now use Stem Cells harvested from a person and then inject them in the persons damaged heart from a heart attack and the stem cells will repair the heart. It is amazing the research being done with Stem Cell. The great thing is it is not controversial because they are not using embryonic stem cell. Thursday evening I had 4 receptions that I could attend. I in fact did get to all 4 of them. The Kansas State Council of Fire Fighters and the County Treasurer's Association were the best for the food. Why you might ask, because they both had shrimp on their buffet tables. The Fire Fighters had absolutely huge shrimp for shrimp cocktail. The Treasurer's had large breaded shrimp. Can you tell I love shrimp. Happy Friday from Topeka.
