Monday was a day that the house was trying to beat the snow today. We had meetings scheduled late yesterday for fear that we would not be able to meet today. The Financial Institutions committee met late yesterday afternoon instead of this afternoon. We tried to pass an amendment to a bill but could not get enough votes. All amendments ended up being stripped out of the bill and passed unamended. I tried my best to get the amendment but failed in the end. It was a good experience though. We heard a couple more bills in the Health committee and should pass them out today. It is snowing pretty heavy in Topeka right now but not much accumulation. Happy Tuesday from Topeka.
