Wednesday evening I attended the Kansas Dental Association meet and greet in Wichita. I met several dentists from my District and heard their concerns for the coming legislative sessions. Many expressed their disappointment in the election loss on the Fluoride issue. It is hard for them to understand that so many people simply do not want chemicals added to their water. They look at it as a cost efficient method to better control tooth decay. I have heard from many of my constituents and they simply are against government control and the addition of yet another item in their life that they do not want. So, the conclusion is, the voters cast their ballot and defeated Fluoridation. If you want fluoride treatments, the dentist is the place to get it.
