I attended the Installation of Excellence Award Team Social at McConnell AFB yesterday evening. It was a great gathering of business leaders, Chamber of Commerce members, Wichita City Council, Sedgwick County Commissioners, State Reps. and State Senators. US Senator Jerry Moran was in attendance and I had the opportunity to talk with him. What a nice gentleman. I asked him a couple questions about the ability to fight off the gun control issue. He indicated that he did not believe there would be the votes in the Senate to pass such a bill.
