Yesterday was interesting. As much as I try to stay out of political discussions, I just can't. One of my group health clients got me going. We were working on the renewal and one person said in a year everything would change. I said oh yes, in 2014 when Obamacare really kicks in you can expect much higher premiums if you go to the exchanges. Man did that make her mad. OOPS. Wow, you really have to be careful in my business. The truth is Obamacare will change everything and those that think its a great idea, just wait, wait, give it time, experience it and then tell me how great it is. Kansas and 20 other states have made the decision they did not want to stand the cost of an exchange. So, a Federal exchange will be put in place and it can be paid for by federal taxes. Smart move by those states. It would be a state budget buster. I would say when the people get tired of the over reach by our government, they will make changes to the leadership.
