Yesterday I attended a training session that walked us through the process of introducing a bill in the house and how it moves through the house to final passage or dies in the process. It was interesting seeing the maneuvering that can take place to advance a bill. I can tell you there is a lot to learn and I would bet the learning never stops.

I also attended the Medical Society of Sedgwick County Legislative Dinner. It was a great opportunity to meet the doctors that make up this group. I sat next to a doctors wife who is a financial planner. So, we have a lot in common and talked all through dinner. This was a great dinner and program. I look forward to attending it again next year. Today we have no political meetings. That is great, I need to concentrate on my business between now and the first of the year.
