Well, unfortunately my opponent in the 100th District race went negative and made out right lies today in her mailing. I made a commitment to my family when this campaign started that I would run a positive and uplifting campaign. I will not waiver from that commitment. In addition at the start of this campaign I shook my opponents hand and said I would not participate in a negative campaign. I will stand on that commitment as well. My opponent today put in print 2 complete lies and all one has to do is go to the Wichita Eagle story they site(July 17) and you will see the lies in full color. My comment about "I don't think cutting is the answer" had to do with education funding. Read the story and see if you can take away (Willing to Grow Government Spending: "I don't think cutting is the answer"). Next she says that I offered a new state level ObamaCare-lite welfare program to subsidize his insurance product. Well, she is about like Governor Sebelius was in 2006, very uninformed. What I was referring to is the Kansas Health Insurance Association (KHIA). It is not a product sold by insurance agents so, that was lie number 2. It is also not government run health care. You know that is what is wrong about politics. A candidate stoops so low as to lie about their opponent. I will not do that. I love my family, my GOD and my friends too much to lower myself to their level. I wish them well in their campaign. I just refuse to go there.
