It is election day in Kansas. This is the day I have been looking forward to for 7 weeks now. On June 11th I got up and drove to Topeka to file for the 100th District. That was a big day as it was the first step in a journey. Most everyone I talked to said "why do you want to do that". Well, that is a fair question. I had been contemplating a run for several years. Now is the time. Seven weeks later, I am here. I remember calling my good friend Brad Stratton. I had no idea how I would pull it off or what I needed to do to get started. We talked and he gave me some places to start. From there every day I asked God to put people in front of me that could help me with this campaign and he did. I asked God for help with the money part and we received exactly what we needed, no more, no less. We walked the district every single day for 5 weeks. Diane sent out 4 mailings and we did one robo call. We did a massive literature drop, hitting every republican primary voter door in one day. We had 34 people on the streets for that event. We handed out KFL voters guides one Saturday and Sunday that took 30 people. We put out 450 yard signs. I believe we covered all the bases. So, we have now arrived at election day. It is in the voters hands. No matter where you live, go vote. Your vote is important. Thanks and I hope the next post will be reporting a win.
